On January 30, 2027, the Hofburg will be aglow
in pink for a very special anniversary night. Under the theme “A Dance for Life—A Charity Night for Pink Ribbon,” we will
celebrate 75 years of the Vienna Doctors’ Ball and 25 years of Pink Ribbon.
A Pink Thread That
Connects
Together, some 3,800 guests from the fields of medicine, politics, culture, and business will celebrate 100 years
of solidarity in action, combining Viennese ball tradition, music, and dance with a special cause: Breast cancer affects us
all.
The focus of the grand anniversary ball is the Pink Ribbon campaign by Cancer Aid Vienna. Their cause
runs like a pink thread through the evening, because in 2027, too, the same principle applies: With every ball ticket and
every donation, we dance together for a good cause. Since 2017, the net proceeds from the Vienna Doctors’ Ball have benefited
a selected nonprofit organization. At the 74
th Doctors’ Ball, the highest donation amount to date—136,240 euros—was
presented to CliniClowns Austria.
