Ball on January 25, 2025 - A dance for life: A charity night for ME/CFS
The Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball, which has a firm place in the cultural calendar of the Austrian capital, always takes place
on the last Saturday in January at the Vienna Hofburg and will be celebrated for the 73rd time in 2025. The traditional ball,
which will take place next year on January 25, 2025, is a firm institution of the Viennese ball season and is known for its
traditional charity character. Every year, the entire net proceeds of the Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball go to a selected charitable
initiative. This year with the motto "A dance for life: A charity night for ME/CFS" to the WE&ME Foundation.
This means that every year the Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball not only represents an important social event in the ball
calendar, but also an important mission: to support charitable causes.
Dr. Isabella Clara Heissenberger-Mass, Ball Organizer of the Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball, emphasizes the
special importance of charitable commitment, which she has made a central pillar of this traditional event for many years:
"The Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball not only unites the medical community, but also the society at large in a night of solidarity
and charity. I am proud that all net proceeds from our unique ball this year will go to the WE&ME Foundation, a remarkable
initiative dedicated to ME/CFS research and the well-being of those affected. ME/CFS is an often underestimated disease. The
work of the WE&ME Foundation is therefore invaluable for research and the management of this complex disease, which unfortunately
also affects children and adolescents, who are of course of particular concern to me as a pediatrician."

Dr. Johannes Steinhart, President of the Vienna Medical Association, particularly emphasizes the importance of the
WE&ME Foundation in research and support for people with ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome):

by such important gatherings as the Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball. The Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball stands for a strong charitable
